The Northern Counties Association organises teams selected from clubs in our league. They are based at Sunderland University and are coached by Keith Sowden. The men's team now plays in Division 2 North after winning promotion last season and the women continue to play in Division 3 North. Both teams have won 1 of their opening two fixtures this season. The men have beaten Wigan Seahawks but lost to Manchester Marvels (Div 3 north champions last year) while the women have beaten Haughton and lost a close five-setter with Wirral. On Sunday 6th October the men travel to Birmingham and the women to RAF Cranwell.
