Team Northumbria's outstanding start to the National League Super 8 season will be severely tested this weekend at Sport Central against 2 of the country's leading clubs. Both Northumbria's men and women currently stand proudly at the top of England's premier competition. The men have dropped only 1 set in their opening 5 matches while the women have yet to concede in four outings.
London Polonia are the vistors on Saturday 17th November. The men start at 2 pm and, with Polonia currently second in the table, Northumbria will be hoping to increase the gap at the top. The women follow at 4.45 and a close match is anticipated. The visitors have also yet to lose so far this season so Saturday's winners will become early season favourites.
Malory Eagles, also from London, are Sunday's opponents. They are hoping to avenge defeats sustained in London at the beginning of October. Their men are the only team to have taken a set off Northumbria but they will have to show considerable improvement if they are to win on their travels. The start times on Sunday are 2pm (men) and 4.45 (women).
